Bobinsana Dieta Retreat
October 4 -14, 2024
Join us in the tropical paradise of Vieques, Puerto Rico, as we embark on a journey of deep healing and profound learning from the sacred master plant of Bobinsana.
Through the process of Dieta held in the Shipibo tradition, guided by Kano Mai, we will forge a powerful relationship with the spirit of the plant. This experience holds the unique opportunity of healing and expanding our hearts, gaining greater capacity for love. Bobinsana is also known for guiding us to our highest life purpose.
What is the process of a Dieta?
The Dieta is an integral and strong container in which each participant creates a pact with themselves, first and foremost, and then with the master plant of Bobinsana. In this pact we open ourselves to connect with the wisdom of the plant so she becomes our ally and guide throughout our lives. The structure of the Dieta is designed to strip you from all the stimuli around you so you can deeply go inward, clean and connect.
Every participant will have their own beautiful and comfortable cabin, treehouse or suite in which they will be able to retreat and have the space to dive deep without interruptions. The retreat center is located on a mountain top overlooking the Caribbean Sea, on 4 lush beautiful acres of land, with magnificent tropical gardens, walking trails as well as communal areas and a sweet water pool. The land is cared for with love and intention and has been dedicated as a healing space, which makes it ideal for the Dieta work. In the heart of this sacred land, amidst the whispering leaves and the vibrant pulse of nature, lies Bobinsana, a treasure pulsating with life. Here, we don't just reside on the property; we immerse ourselves in its very essence. We commune with Bobinsana, allowing its spirit to entwine with ours, awakening a deep sense of connection and passion for the land that is truly transformative.
Participants are encouraged to fast from 1-3 days, more if they desire. The meals during the retreat are made by one of the facilitators, they are plant based and easily digestible, honoring the Dieta and meant to support you during your process. The meals will be brought to your space and you eat them when it feels right for you.
The retreat includes a plant purge to prepare and clean you prior to opening your Dieta. The first days of your Dieta you will receive vapor baths with local plants to aid the detox process. You will also receive Bobinsana baths. During the retreat we will offer workshops where we can learn about the Shipibo lineage and culture, other master plants and Dietas.
The diet will be opened with a Sacred Grandmother Ceremony. Mid retreat we will meet for another ceremony to connect further. A third ceremony at the end will close the Dieta. Every ceremony has a sharing circle the following day.
We have included in this retreat 2 integration days, which will be very important to congeal your Dieta. During this time we will reintegrate slowly to eating slightly bigger portions, and more sustainable food. Some vegan proteins to regain strength. There will be integration talks, light yoga and trips to the beach, which are all optional.

OUR CENTER & THE ISLAND
Nestled on a hillside with refreshing cross-ventilation, our center offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by lush vegetation and the soothing melodies of native Coqui frogs. Situated atop one of the island's highest vantage points, we enjoy breathtaking views of sunrises and sunsets. This island boasts minimal light pollution— creating an ideal setting for stargazing. On clear nights, even the Milky Way graces our skies— adding to the awe-inspiring experience.
Spanning three acres, Finca Victoria encompasses a variety of architectural structures seamlessly integrated into the lush vegetation. The land is teeming with fertility— showcasing an array of tropical plants, fruit-bearing trees, blossoms, and cacti.
Vieques— a unique island embraced by the Caribbean Sea— boasts abundant vegetation, year-round warmth, and a surreal landscape accentuated by a population of 2,000 free-roaming horses. This special enclave is a part of Puerto Rico, and is accessible via the ferry or swift “island-hopper” planes.
COMMUNAL AREAS
The Pavilion & Pool
The heart of the hotel is our exclusive Pavilion. It is a large open structure overlooking trees and our sweet water pool. Here you will find numerous lounging areas. The Pavilion opens to our sweet water pool surrounded by tropical flowers, palm trees, and other lush, native vegetation.
Our Gardens
Perched amidst the central mountains of the island, Finca Victoria enjoys a more tropical climate and cooler temperatures than other parts of the island. Within this mini ecosystem, a variety of indigenous and fruit-bearing trees, tropical blooms, and charming inhabitants— like the coqui frogs— thrive.
In addition, you’ll find our herb gardens which serve as the source of ingredients for our vapor baths. We extend a warm invitation to our guests to embark on journeys through these enchanting gardens that grace every corner of our property.
Beaches in Vieques
The beaches of Vieques offer an exquisite blend of natural beauty and tranquility. With powder-soft sands and crystal-clear waters, each beach has its own unique charm. From the bioluminescent wonder of Mosquito Bay, to the secluded coves surrounded by lush foliage, Vieques' beaches promise a serene escape. Whether you seek vibrant snorkeling spots, peaceful sunbathing havens, or the chance to witness the island's wild horses against a coastal backdrop, Vieques' beaches invite you to immerse yourself in their captivating allure.
The Maloka
The Maloka— with its stunning ocean view— is our newest structure. This area is dedicated to our daily yoga practice and serves as a gathering place. It also holds a profound spiritual significance as the sacred space where we conduct our most cherished ceremonies. Within its sheltering walls, we gather to honor ancient traditions, celebrate milestones, and connect with the deeper rhythms of existence. The Maloka's ambiance— coupled with its panoramic view of the ocean— enhances the sense of reverence and connection during these transformative moments.
